The research has been designed to answer the following questions:
- What are the relationships between character strengths, mindfulness and trustworthiness in business entrepreneurs?
- Can a model be developed that explain the relationships?
- What are the essential components of an intervention that develops trustworthiness in entrepreneurs?
The approach will involve:
- A systematic Literature Review – a complete and exhaustive summary of current evidence
- Collecting the data about UK entrepreneurs that will then inform the development of a theoretical framework using Structural Equation Modelling
- Action research, involving participants in developing and implementing interventions
- Adaptive trialling and evaluating the effect of the intervention in pre-defined subgroups
- Manualising the approach to include background information, guidance and materials that can be used by trainers
